Black Gays Discuss Obama Presidency and Their Role in Helping to Elect Obama

Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) voters discussed an Obama presidency and the role of the Black LGBT community in helping to elect Obama Tuesday night (August 6) in Los Angeles. Hosted by In the Meantime Men’s Group, a local non-profit organization dedicated to the health and well being of Black bisexual and gay men, participants included: (left to right) Robert Cole, Statewide Director of African-American Outreach for the Obama for President campaign, discussion moderator yours truly, Margaret Richards-Bowers, an Obama delegate from the 33rd Congressional district, and Steve Smith, former LGBT Outreach Director for the Obama for President campaign.
