Carson Councilman Mike Gipson is putting a piece of common sense legislation up for the Council to consider.

The City Council will consider an ordinance that would add regulations for ammunition sellers. It is based on one that recently passed in Los Angeles, and would require a thumbprint for the purchase of ammunition.

Seems fair especially if the buying of bullets isn’t going to be used say in a drive by or to murder someone, the purchaser shouldn’t have a problem with it.  Thoughts?

For those interested, this is going before the Carson City Council at 5 p.m. tonight (July 7) at City Hall, 701 E. Carson St.
