On Saturday, March 7, if you’re in L.A. come out to the City of L.A.’s ‘Celebration of Women” festival going down at Jim Gilliam Park in  Baldwin Village.

I’ll be out in the tennis courts with the Venus and Serena Williams Tennis Academy from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. playing tennis and hopefully inspiring more women to come out this Spring for the Wednesday night tennis classes.

In addition, there will be a screening of my short doc “The Incredibly True Adventures of Sistas of the Canyon.”

The festival will feature various speakers, a job and resource fair, a health and wellness clinic and an array of other fun activities including cooking demonstrations abd motivational tips from Jewel Diamond Taylor and other special guests. All in all, it will be a day of celebrating women…in the hood.
