"Noah’s Arc" may be gone for now…the jury’s still out on that verdict, but the "DL Chronicles" is just getting started.
Come May 4th, the highly anticipated national debut of the DL Chronicles will take place on a television near you.
The "DL Chronicles" tells the stories of mostly Black men who by consequence and by choice, live sexually duplicitous and secret lifestyles. Narrated by aspiring journalist, Chadwick Williams, as he pursues research while authoring a book about MSM (Men who Sleep with Men) aka "The Down Low," the "DL Chronicles" enters into a provocative and intriguing world of sexual discovery, denial, betrayal, love and loss.
From a highly desired successful executive to a hyper-masculine player, from the happily married father of two to the college athlete’s first love, each episode will delve into the different lives and experiences of DL men of color across social, cultural, and economic boundaries.
While may of us are perfectly aware of the down low, believe it or not and even after Oprah and J.L. King, there are still people who are not. And even some that are awae, aren’t really aware and have it all wrong too.
So having this series on television is going to be interesting. It’s going to be interesting to see how Black America reacts as well as Black gay America.
At any rate, I’ve seen the first two episodes and they look great. I like the storylines, the writing, and the acting. A bonus for me is that Vikter Duplaix was hired to do the music for the show. Now that’s what I am talking about.
Kudos to Quincy Lenear and Deondray Gossett for sticking in there with it. It looks like your hard work as paid off. And of course kudos to Here for picking it up. Let’s make sure we support the show by watching it to make sure that our images continue to get out there.
