When Obama made his now-famous—but true—“bitter” comments, Senator Hillary Clinton was quick to cast him as an out-of-touch elitist.

But this weekend’s call out of Senator Barack Obama by Senator Clinton just goes to show how out of touch with the people she is.

Clinton is calling for a Lincoln-Douglas-style debate with no moderator against Obama.

“I’m offering Sen. Obama a chance to debate me one-on-one, no moderators. … Just the two of us going for 90 minutes, asking and answering questions; we’ll set whatever rules seem fair,” she said.

“I think that it would give the people of Indiana and I assume a few Americans might tune in because nearly 11 million watched the Philadelphia debate. And I think they would love seeing that kind of debate and discussion. Remember, that’s what happened during the Lincoln-Douglas debates,” she added.

Yeah, we may have tuned into to the Philadelphia debate, but I think we clearly made our voices heard that we were tired of debates that seem to move further and further away from answering the questions that most voters really care about.

So, moderator or no moderator, we’ve had more than enough debates, i.e.  more than enough chances to watch Senator Clinton dodge the issues while trying to paint Obama as the “Black candidate.”

Debating Obama doesn’t prove that Clinton’s the right person for the Presidency.  If I were her, I’d spend less time initiating 3 p.m. schoolyard fights and more time on planning how to pull off a win in Indiana an North Carolina.  Yeah, exactly what Obama is doing.

Like I said before, we need to skip the theatrics and get right to the main attraction, Obama vs. McCain.
