You know how when you get fired or you voluntarily quit for bigger and better things and you’re on the way out the door so you’re like fuck it, I might as well let everyone know how I feel before leave out this motha— yeah that feeling…perhaps that’s what Governor Don’t Let the Door Hit Ya Arnold Schwarzenegger was feeling when he decided to commute the sentence of the son of former Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, Esteban Nunez.

In his final “fuck you Caleefornuh,” the outgoing Governor Schwarzenegger commuted Nunez’s prison sentence for a murder in San Diego where he was convicted of voluntary manslaughter to nine years from a 16-year-sentence on the last day of his administration.

Yep--that's a chubbier me in between my old boss former Assemblymember Mervyn Dymally and former Speak Fabian Nunez...

Anyone who knows anything about former Speaker Nunez, his son, and how California politics works knows this—this was in the works the moment the judge’s sentencing gavel came down.  There are benefits to the being the son of a former Assembly Speaker.

I wonder if Stanley Tookie Williams would have still been alive today, would the outgoing Governor have just said fuck it—and granted clemency to him as well.

Now who was it that said Schwarzenegger wasn’t a Democrat?

Sara Kruzan

On the flip side just to even it out, the same outgoing Governor Schwarzenegger (I can’t say outgoing enough) did grant clemency to a woman who was 16 when she killed her former pimp in a Southern California motel room.

Sara Kruzan, now 32, was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole for the 1994 shooting death of George Gilbert Howard. Prosecutors said Kruzan was no longer working for Howard when she killed him.

Schwarzenegger reduced her sentence to 25 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

11 a.m. can’t get here soon enough…I can’t hardly wait!
