Inquiring minds would like to know.
First there was this…
you have given me a million dollars worth of free publicity, with unexpected bonuses like your spelling of Black History "Mont"plus all the racial, sexual and weight insults. You have really show your true colours as a hater.
not to mention the made up "quotes" you put on you page as facts and lies from a self described "journalist."
You and Keith Boykin have done more to further my career than anyone I could have ever hired.
Thank God I am always paid far in advance for my shows.
Enjoy your protests. i’m sorry you hate yourself so much.
I hope you find peace in your life.
Chuck Knipps (a.k.a. Shirley Q. Liquor)
(pronounced "K-Nipp", not "Nip", not that you would have cared being
a "journalist" – LOL)
Then there was this…
Name: Proud and Out Shirley Fan
The funniest thing just happened: turns out the Shirley Q. show in L.A. will be going on as planned. Different day, venue etc. but it’s happening. All the "cancellation" buzz was to shut Jasmyne and her clone army up for awhile so the Factory could host their anniversary party without threats of riots and violence (which were very real). Chuck’s management wasn’t involved in this rescheduling but thanks to the fans, the show will go on. Thank goodness for free speech in America. Nice try, Jasmyne. After all your bitter ranting and raving, you can’t use your bullying tactics to take away people’s right to think and choose for themselves, how they can or can’t spend their money or how an artist should present himself according to YOUR standards of "decency." Your fight to prove that censorship is permissible has failed. You have the right to do whatever you want. Don’t support Shirley Q., make all the noise you want – at the end of the day, you can ‘t pick and choose what is "appropriate" for the rest of the world based on your political agenda, values and views.
So what do you think?
I think this is some bitter fan who is pissed off that the show was cancelled. I couldn’t imagine any club in West Hollywood being foolish enough to book this act again. And outside of West Hollywood, believe me when I tell you, there’s no club that’s going to book Knipp.
At any rate, we’ll keep our eyes and ears open. We have lots of friends in West Hollywood, friends that Knipp and his pals don’t even know about.
In Hartford, CT I talked to a young lady who is spearheading the movement there and it seems to be picking up. They’ve already met with the club owner and the city council.
New Oreleans also expects a cancellation of the show as well.
Today in my Random Thoughts column (left), I publicly challenged Charles Knipp to a debate on this issue. His people keep turning down interviews from the media and I am wondering what’s the big fuss. All the shit Charles and his agent talks about this protest not doing anything but helping them, you’d think that when CNN calls, they’d be ready to go. I guess they couldn’t find RuPaul to go on for him and defend him. He never fights his own battles, he has to send in RuPaul to do that for him.
Anyway, he’s been called out, let’s see if he answers. Let’s see, how would he say it? "Don’t be scurd Charles of a real Black woman."
