According to the Washington Blade…
Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign released a new list of prominent gay supporters last week.
In a list released first last Wednesday to the Blade, Clinton’s campaign
identified 21 gay professionals and activists who recently endorsed her
White House run.
Names on the list include H. Alexander Robinson, executive director of
the National Black Justice Coalition; Dana Beyer, who is transgender
and a member of the Human Rights Campaign board of governors; and Rep.
Patricia Todd, the first openly gay member of the Alabama House of
“I am honored to have the support of these leaders in the LGBT
community,” Clinton said. “Together, we can end the divisive politics
of the current administration and renew the promise of fairness and
equality for all Americans.”
I guess. It just keeps getting worse and worse for Sen. Barack Obama.
In a special to AOL Black Voices this week, fellow journalist/blogger Clay Cane writes at about the Barack Obama/Donnie McClurkin Debacle wherein the Senator from Illinois organized and held a South Carolina event with newly saved and homophobic gospel singer Donnie McClurkin. After protests and a consultation with the Human Rights Campaign (America’s gay authority), Obama’s camp added a white gay pastor (no surprise there) to the roster but still went on with the show.
