Today our girl Choklate debuted the music video for her latest single “Sun’s Out” off her sophomore album “To Whom It May Concern.”  For my Angelino’s in the house, the video was shot in Jefferson and Leimert Parks and if you watch carefully you’ll catch Earle’z Grille on Crenshaw and Lucy Florence’s Coffeehouse in Leimert Park.  Holla!  The video features a cameo from Malcolm Jamal Warner and yours truly!  Now that’s dope.  It’s expected be in rotation on BETJ and VH1 Soul soon, so check for a sistah.  You can grab the album on iTunes or at Target, Best Buy, and F.Y.E. Congrats Chok!

Oh, I almost forgot, Chok will also be in L.A. performing live this summer at the Little Temple Bar on July 15.  Don’t miss it.  And you know I am trying to get on that stage with her, lol.

About the Album

To Whom It May Concern” hits stores on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 and is international soul singer Choklate’s highly anticipated sophomore release. She says that her journey has been a long one. One that has spawned a wealth of songs that accurately depict the feelings, the struggles, and the stories. Choklate promises that this collection is one that will pull you into the journey, give you a glimpse of the roller coaster that is life.

“The aim is simply that you will listen, relate to and feel that you’ve been exposed to a fresh perspective on the truths we’ve all experienced at one point or another,” she says.
