Relief for Struggling Homeowners: NACA’S ‘Save the Dream’ Tour Hits Los Angeles Sept. 24 through Sept. 28
Working with Major Lenders, Non-Profit Homeownership Organization Continues Saving Homes and Dreams one City at a Time
Recently featured on ABC News’ Nightline, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), which is credited with saving thousands of struggling homeowners from foreclosure with their “Save the Dream” tour, is bringing their program to the Los Angeles Convention Center this Thursday (Sept. 24) through Monday (Sept. 28).
Completely free, Los Angeles area homeowners who are struggling with unaffordable mortgages can attend the “Save the Dream” tour and have their situation assessed and evaluated by NACA who provides same day solutions for restructuring home loans and reducing mortgage rates.
Started in 1988, NACA is a national non-profit community advocacy and homeownership organization headquartered in Boston and has led successful advocacy campaigns against predatory and discriminatory lenders as well as provided the best mortgage program in America with $10 billion in funding commitments. Through its 38 offices nationwide and two call centers, NACA has set the national standard in restructuring, not refinancing, thousands of mortgages to what homeowners can afford.
Working hand in hand with major lenders and servicers, which NACA has established has secured legally binding agreements with, NACA staff and volunteers evaluate homeowners’ true affordability to provide mortgage help immediately.
With over 180,000 participants at events this summer in Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis and Atlanta, NACA has conclusively shown that when working people get the benefit of a prime rate loan, they can resolve their financial problems, make their mortgage payments and become prime borrowers. NACA’s track record of helping people who have credit problems become homeowners or restructuring a predatory loan debunks the myth that high rates and fees are necessary to compensate for their credit risk.
NACA has the most effective long-term mortgage solution for at-risk homeowners because it permanently reduces the interest rate, often to 4%, 3% and 2%, and if necessary reduces the outstanding principal based on what the homeowner can afford. This enables working people around the country to avoid foreclosure by helping them to restructure their home loans and reduce their mortgage rates.
While the NACA “Save the Dream” tour is free, homeowners attending come prepared with: one month of pay stubs or 6 months of bank statements if self-employed; two years of income tax returns; proof of other forms of income including child support, SSI/SSA benefit letter, or annuity letter; a recent property tax bill and mortgage statement; proof of homeowners insurance; and a driver’s license or California identification card. Proof of U.S. citizenship is not required.
The NACA “Save the Dream” tour will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center Thursday, Sept. 24 through Monday, Sept. 28. To pre-register for an appointment or for more information, please visit naca.com or call toll-free (888) 499-6222.
