A good time was had by all who attended the opening night gala for the 26th annual Outfest Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The festivities kicked off downtown Los Angeles at the Orpheum Theater with a screening of the comedy Breakfast with Scot, the heartwarming tale about a makeshift family engaged in a struggle over pucks and perfume.

The whose who of gay L.A. showed up to celebrate including a few of my favorite people: John Amaechi, Mario aka Perez Hilton, Tamika Miller, Darryl Stephens, and Wilson Cruz.

Between the free flowing Absolut Vodka and DJ Ana on the 1s and 2s, I had a great time and am looking forward to the next 12 days of Outfest.

Hats off to Kirsten Schaffer (who took over as executive director), Outfest board president and friend Stephen Macias, Nicole Suell, and the entire Outfest crew for a wonderful evening. A special shout out to Chris for hanging with a sista 🙂

If you’re in Los Angeles, you can review the complete list of Outfest screenings, parties, panels, and events at www.Outfest.org.
