Random Thoughts: The Nigerian “Terrorist,” Airport Security, Kente Cloth, and Other Fashionable African Prints

Something tells me that after today’s act of terrorism by a Nigerian passenger who attempted to ignite an incendiary device aboard a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit, I shouldn’t stroll the airport in my Kente cloth or other fashionable African prints for a while as I am sure Africans and African-Americans by virtue of our skin color, will now be under even more scrutiny.  I’m just saying.
