Last week it was Jesse Jackson with what senility looks and sounds like and this week it’s the cover of the July 21st issue of The New Yorker Magazine.
The magazine’s cover features a cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama giving each other dap in the Oval Office in front of a portrait of Osama bin Laden and an American flag burning in the fireplace.
Obama has declined to comment on the cover. The campaign has said it is “tasteless and offensive.”
But why is anyone surprised? C’mon now. If Democrats are willing to vote Republican over voting for their own Democratic nominee and so-called Black leaders want to cut off Obama’s nuts, then why should The New Yorker be any different? Hey, for all we know the magazine’s editors could be bitter Hillary supporters. It is after all, The New Yorker Magazine.
Before November, I am sure the Obama’s are going to be made out to be much worse than this cover, so brace yourself.
Before the election, the image of Black women is going to be under constant attack (far more than usual) with Michelle Obama serving as the sacrificial lamb while Sen. Obama is going to be painted out to be Muslim, unpatriotic, and everything in between.
Just like with the Annie Liebovitz April Vogue cover photo, which portrayed LeBron James as King Kong, The New Yorker knew exactly, what they were doing and what message they were sending when the cartoon was cleared for the cover.
