April 29, 1992 – KJLH 102.3 The Front Page

It’s been 18 year’s ya’ll.  Hard to believe.  Seems like only yesterday the National Guard was atop the Slauson Swapmeet, Black owned business signs were in the windows of Korean owned stores, Tom Bradley was the Mayor, Daryl Gates was the chief of police, and I was on Washington and Western–well let’s just I was around, lol.

Join us Thursday morning at 5 a.m. on the Front Page, which was born out of the events in 1992, as we walk back down memory lane with Bryan Jenkins, Emmy® Award winning news reporter for KCOP Channel 13 during the 1992 civil unrest and Michael L. Jones, who was a cameraman during the 1992 civil unrest for KTTV Fox.

Hosted by Emmy® Award winning veteran radio host Dominique DiPrima, the Front Page is where Black Los Angeles tackles both social and political issues of interest to the African-American community.  The Front Page can be heard Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. in Los Angeles on Radio Free 102.3-FM KJLH and online at www.kjlhradio.com.
