A man wanted for killing and burying a man in DeKalb County is in jail in California.

Mark Rudolph Reed is wanted on a murder warrant for the 2007 death of Marlon Greene, DeKalb County Police Officer Jason Gagnon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Los Angeles Police arrested Reed, 42, on July 10, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Reed is being held without bond and scheduled to be extradited to DeKalb.

DeKalb investigators received a call last year from police in California about Greene’s death. A woman told police in California that Reed had killed an Atlanta man and buried him off River Road in Ellenwood, according to a DeKalb Police report.

Reed was indicted after DeKalb investigators flew to California and interviewed the woman, Gagnon said.
