2009-weight-loss-diary1

Okay so I have been working overtime on knocking the weight off I had gained. To refresh your memory, I had gained about 15 pounds overnight, lol, and jumped from 165 to 180 pounds. Not good.

I decided that the best way to get the weight off was good old-fashioned exercise and staying out of the drive thru window, the latter of which continues to be my biggest problem.  Alli is not for me.  I found I lose weight faster on my own.

Anyway, for the past several weeks I have been getting up at the crack of dawn and hiking at Runyan, walking 3 to 5 miles a day, in addition to playing tennis for like 3 to 4 hours a day, mostly late into the night and early in the morning when the weather is cool. I may want to lose my weight, but I’d like to live to show it off, so exerting that kind of energy in 80 degree plus weather…no—I don’t think so. I’m already ten shades darker from all of the Cali sunshine.

Right now, I am on an extremely low carb diet, aka, protein and vegetables and ladies and gents, I have to say all of my hard work has paid off. I’ve taken a few inches off of my waist and thighs and have dropped about ten of those pounds already! Now that’s what I am talking about.

To top it off, I am finally going to get over my stage fright, make that tennis stage fright, and play in a mini tennis tournament on Saturday in Los Angeles.

I have been focusing an obsessive amount of time on sharpening my tennis game which has really improved to my surprise. I played doubles last week and won two sets of four! For me that’s a big deal. It’s not easy to teach yourself something new like tennis at 30 years old. But it’s been over a year and it’s all starting to come together.

Anyway, now you know why I’ve been so silent. At some point, you do have to focus on your life offline and this summer I am doing a lot of that.

Oh and I’ll be in Las Vegas at the end of August…so holla!
