While driving in to work today and listening to the news, I heard that yet another man has come forward claiming to be the father of the late Anna Nicole Smith’s five-month old daughter Dannielynn.  This makes the fifth possible father of Smith’s daughter, bringing new meaning to the question, “who’s my baby daddy.”

I started thinking that it was ironic that Charles Knipp, the white man who performs in drag and blackface as his character Shirley Q. Liquor, a Black woman on welfare, poses the same question regarding his character’s 19 children.  Only with Knipp, it’s intended to promote the stereotype that Black women sleep around and get pregnant not knowing who the father of their children is.

While I don’t know one single Black woman that has physically given birth to 19 children, it is a fact that Anna Nicole Smith was obviously getting around.

As it stands now, there are five men claiming to be the father of Dannielynn: Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of the actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, photographer Larry Birkhead, Smith’s partner, Howard K. Stern, Smith’s late husband J. Howard Marshall II (via frozen sperm), and Alex Denk, the model’s former bodyguard and chef.

Now really, who’s my baby daddy?
